CSR FILMS Ph receive its first major recognition as Signal Rock makes impressive feats in the ongoing Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino.
Once again, Christian Bables proved that he is an actor to watch out for when he bagged the best performance by an Actor trophy for his performance in Signal Rock at the Gabi ng Parangal this weekend held in Whitespace, Makati City.Christian's latest acting is another additional to his number of trophies as best supporting actor from different awards giving bodies that awarded for his performance in the film Die Beautiful.
He took to Instagram to thank all the people who helped him with the award for his performance in Signal Rock.
"Sharing this award and recognition to my Signal Rock co actors, staff, and crew, and Regal Entertainment Inc, family. Atin ito! Tayo ito! Blessed to have worked with you all", part of his post read.
He also specifically expressed his gratitude to Direk Chito for guiding him portray his character convincingly. "Direk this is for you, for all the genuine love, care trust , and confidence you have for me. Mahal na mahal kita direk! Thank you for being my rock..My Signal Rock,"posts Christian.
Meantime, this film, which is Direk Chito's passion project, was also awarded the main Feature Critic's Choice Awards.
Signal Rock was given the Grade A, the highest rating given by the Cinema Evaluation Board.
Signal Rock tells the story of Intoy played by Christian Bables, a poor young man living with his folks in a fishing village. Intoy and his parents place their hopes for a better future on Vicky. Intoy's sister, who is in a foreign land married to a foreigner. Until one day, their hopes for a better life turns hazy when Vicky leaves her abusive husband with their daughter. Things become uglier when the couple battles for the custody of their daughter, and Intoy is forced to rely on his wits and comes with a master plan to stage an elaborate and convincing scenario to save his sister and his niece from their delemma. But how will he do it when the pretense that he has set up is in danger of being found out? It will take a miracle to pull it off.
