DEADMA WALKING : A CELEBRATION OF FRIENDSHIP

THE Metro Manila Film Festival entry " Deadma Walking", certainly lives up to being a genuine "beshie" comedy. This film about two gays bestfriends who are loyal to each other in life and beyond is truly a labor of love by very supportive friends.Playing the lead characters of John and Mark, respectively, are Joross Gamboa and Edgar Allan Guzman who are buddies in real life . EA (as Edgar Allan is fondly called in showbiz) was a back up dancer of Joross during his Star Circle Quest days. Since then the two have formed a close bond so much so that their chemistry in "Deadma Walking" is instant and palpable.

"Kung sino man ang nakaisip ng combination nina Joross and EA...grabe, napakahenyo ninyo!"exclaims Angel Locsin. "Laluna Sangre" co star and good friend of Joross. "Yung tandem nila Joross at EA panibagong panlasa ng tao", adds "Kita Kita" box office star Empoy Marquez.Angel and Empoy were among the stars that watched the movie at the celebrity Premiere held at UP Town Center.

Based on a screenplay by Eric Cabahug that won second prize at the 2016 Palanca Awards for literature and graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB) "Deadma Walking" features a formidable cast which includes Candy Pangilinan, Nico Antonio, Vin Abrenica, Bobby Andrews, Bing Pimintel, and  in a very special role as John 's sister Ate Mary Dimples Romana. Also in the cast are numerous celebs who make cameo appearances such as Piolo Pascual , Gerald Anderson, Iza Calzado, directors Marlon Rivera and Joel Lamangan, and Eugene Domingo..

Most,  if not all of these celebrities, agreed to participate because of the inspiring subject of the friendship and because they wanted to endorse the launching film of EA , Joross and "Deadma Walking", director Julius Alfonso.

"Si Gerard nag oo agad nu'ng nag request namin siyang mag cameo." shares Joross. "Ang tanging tinanong niya ay kung kailan ang shooting." Like EA, Gerard was also a back up dancer of Joross; The kapamilya heartthrob is also a good friend of Joross and EA.

Love is evident in the final product "Nandoon ang pagka feel good. Naramdaman ko," says Angel. "It's very fresh to see friend and colleagues na kasama sa pelikula."

"Deadma Walking" is produced by T-rex Entertainment . It opens in theatres nationwide on December 25. pls watch out
