THE 2ND EDDY’S AWARDS NOMINEES FOR MOVIES 2018

Ang society of philippine entertainment editor (SPEED) ay nagbibigay taon taon ng karangalan sa ating mga alagad ng sining. Ang pagkilala sa mga natatangi at makabuluhang pelikula sa Philippine industry. Ang gawad parangal na ito ay isang pagkilala sa mga manggagawa at mga bumubuo ng pelikula na ipinalabas sa taong ito. Mula sa minor awards at major awards ay bibigyang pangaral ng Eddy’s Awards na gaganapin sa darating na Mayo.

Limang magagaling na artista ang malalaban laban sa Best Actress category sina Joanna Ampil (Ang Larawan); Mary Joy Apostol (Birdshot); Sharon Cuneta (Unexpectedly Yours); Bela Padilla (100 Tula Para kay Stella); at Alessandra de Rossi (Kita Kita).
Tatlong special awards ang ipamimigay ng Eddys ngayong taon: ang Joe Quirino Award ay igagawad sa yumaong movie reviewer at professor na si Mario Hernando (Posthumous); Manny Pichel Award ay ibibigay sa Entertainment Editor at columnist na si Ricky Lo; at ang Producer of the Year ay igagawad kay Vic del Rosario, Jr., ng Viva Films. Bibigyan din ng special tribute (Posthumous) si Mario Hernando, ang mga direktor na sina Maryo J. delos Reyes, Soxy Topacio, Maning Borlaza, Argel Joseph, ang aktres na si Isabel Granada at award-winning veteran actor na si Bernardo Bernardo.
Ang pagbibigay ng award ng SPEED ay isang paraan para i-encourage, lalong pataasin ang moral at patuloy na magbigay-inspirasyon sa mga Filipino filmmakers, producers, writers, actors at iba pa na kasama sa pagbubuo ng isang matino at dekalidad na pelikula.
